Is anyone using Buprenorphine patch 20 micrograms for pain relief from vertebral fractures? It does nothing for me and am thinking of coming off it

I’ve been on them a few years. I’m allergic to plaster so they give me hell. I don’t feel as though they help much but they are low dose. I don’t know what the alternatives are, tablets I suppose. Good luck for your pain relief.
When I reduced from 10mcg to 5mcg I was in a lot more pain, so just because you’re still in pain may not mean they’re doing nothing for you. I’m now 8 months post fracturing T10 and T12 and still the medicine part of the patch can be very itchy at times - no problems with the adhesive round the edges. I’d suggest having a word with your GP about pain relief before doing anything

Oh I’m sorry to hear that. I think I have the same problem. I sustained a T8, L1&L3 fractures re 9 months ago and still can only walk for about 20 minutes before having to go home because of the pain.
