Calcium causing issues

Hi everyone I have just joined and was wondering if anyone else has been diagnosed with a build up of Calcium in the blood vessels around the heart. I have been taking Calci-D chewable tablets for just over 2 years so. I have now stopped taking them as very worried about it and am now trying to get the Calcium through diet but I am dairy intolerant so am finding it hard to get the tight amount daily

I have been taking Vitamin D now since 2022 and also becoming concerned do we need to take a break ?

Hi, I’ve been taking vit d as advised after a dexa scan & have so many spurs on bones, I also had a ct petrous scan which showed 60% stenosis in my right carotid artery.

I recently found out from a Facebook group on menopause that for vit d to work properly you need vit k2 aswell, this helps it to be absorbed in the right places

Thank you for your reply. Sorry to hear you have problems as well.

I think its the Calcium that might of caused my problems in the Calci D tablets but it could be the vit D as well. You take these things to help one problem then end up with it causing something else unfortunately. Its hard to know what to do for the best isnt it.

I have been taking Adcal for 12 months and have also recently noticed via a spinal x-ray that I have calcium build up, consequently I have stopped taking the Adcal and started using a combined D3/K2 supplement and bought calcium citrate supplement, as this is more easily absorbed into the body.
