Just popping back in to explain a little more about how the notifications work, as this may be helpful for others following the conversation too. 
Lizzie3, because you kindly started this thoughtful conversation, the platform will usually let you know whenever there is any new activity in the thread, even if it is not a direct reply to you.
Other members may receive a notification if someone replies to them directly or mentions them. The platform may also start keeping you updated on a conversation if you have replied in it before or spent some time reading it, so that you do not miss out.
Whether these notifications are also sent by email will depend on your personal email settings. You can review or change these at any time here:
