Following a recent MRI scan, I’ve just been told I have avascular necrosis of the femoral head in my hip and an early insufficiency fracture. Does anyone have any experience of this, the treatments and outcomes please?
Hello, Are you on a treatment for osteoporosis ? Which one ? Although apparently rare, one side effect of osteoporosis drugs is necrosis of the jaw and femoral fractures. Whether on osteoporosis treatment or not, I would ask for an urgent appointment with the FLS ( Fracture Liaison Service) in your area. Hopefully there is one. Good luck with getting an appointment. Hi, last summer I had a femoral fracture due to prolonged use of Prolia. Has anyone else had this fracture?
