Hi everyone I am new to this site and Osteoporosis, I work in a school at lunch times and one of the children ran into me complete accident and broke my hip 15 months ago.
I had a bone density scan and was told if you don’t hear from us after two weeks everything is fine then Two weeks ago l received an appointment at the hospital, we thought it was a post opp appointment
Only to be told by the Doctor that I had severe Osteoarthritis and shown a model of a spine one normal and one pitted mine was pitted. both myself and husband where in shock and not given the opportunity to ask questions then quickly told to have a blood test and come back in a month to discuss treatment, we did ask why it had taken 14 months to contact me the doctor didn’t answer
we are both extremely anxious about the treatment and what changes I have to make to my daily routine I am extremely worried that my spine is about to snap .
Any advice would really be appreciated
