An advocacy service to help preying hospital who are not getting the right support

Does anyone know of an advocacy service that could help me action Some of the points I need to follow up on? I’m in Hosp flat on my back with six fractures and barely able to move feeling pretty low and I’m not getting the right treatment. I know this sounds a bit bleak but I want to start feeling like I’m moving forward and being positive about things. Any advice would be appreciated Many thanks.

Hello Florence,

I’m just responding because I too am awake, I’m home, I’m 55 and also in a lot of pain, with multiple fractures.

While you are in hospital, the main thing is write things down, so when you get a visit from a Dr you raise all your points.

Also phone the osteoporosis help line - 0808 800 0035

Stay strong, it will get better :heart::heart:

If you need to talk. Please reach back out to me.

I would also suggest contacting Patient Liasion services (PALs) as they will advocate on your behalf

You legally have the right to a second opinion in the NHS. Our hospital has posters around the hospital telling you how to make such a request, so if you have someone visiting you ask them to look out for these and ring them for you.

As already suggested PALS at the hospital will also help.
