Has anyone used this company offering REMS scans

Has anyone used this company?
https://www.screenmybones.com/. They look quite genuine and charge £225 for a scan. The locations are a bit few and far between in the south east.

I’d be interested to find out as well. It seems only to be available in London - no use to me.

I have not used this company myself but came across it quite some time ago. I stand ready tp be corrected if wrong, but my conclusion after looking into it was that those involved did not appear to have any immediately obvious qualifications of particular relevance. You can find reviews from people who have used it on TrustPilot.

I don’t know whether it’s of any interest but a Google search showed several in the Birmingham area. The cost seems to be around £100.

I live on the SE coast, so Brum is too far. Pity.

Hi Tally, thanks for your reply. I live on the South Coast and see there is a clinic in Pangbourne in Dorset… and there is one in Regent Street, but I couldn’t face travelling to London. The others all seem to be in the North. Good luck with everything.

Thank you. All too far for me and my carer, being as I had a stroke last year and am very limited in where I can go. But I really appreciate you going to the trouble of answering.

I agree re the apparent lack of qualifications, but I’m considering having the scan at the mid-way point of treatment just to see if things are going in the right direction, especially after ramping up my strength training. Apparently, although the medics can’t/don’t use the results for OP diagnosis, the results are similar to those from a DXA scan.

I had something similar in Essex called Bone Health by Richard Evans in January . It was arranged by the support group. He would come down for a day if enough of use were interested. He had a room at a private clinic the cost was about the same. It was suggest to have repeat one in a year . Would i have one next year not sure as it was difficult to compare this scan to the bone density scan I had at hospital. But it did have more detail.

I’ve heard of him. Would be interesting to have one. I understand the results can be very different to dexa and you can only compare like for like

I used Osteoscan. They hold clinics in various places but they book up very quickly. I attended one in Sevenoaks. I was impressed and have booked for a follow-up next year to monitor how I am going.

I did my REMS with https://osteoscanuk.com. I was very happy with the service, although it contradicted the DEXA, which created some confusion
