Hi I have osteoporosis, mines a long story as I had been on prolia injection until COVID closed my doctors, I didn’t know you never just stop it and ended up with 5 back fractures . This was a few years ago, I had two alondric infusions and now been told my bone markers are up so I’m having a year off medication. But my main. Issue is my tummy and posture,I have a sliding hiatus hernia which is causing me a lot of discomfort due to being bent over, I feel like I carnt stand straight,I feel worn out and fed up , I’m 71 have to walk with a stick to support myself, just got home from seeing the rumatolgy specialist who really only offered me a smile and said my bone markers where good. Sorry for long post I stop now ,was only supposed to be introducing myself. ![]()
Hi Lynne41 I feel for you I also have 5 fracture, I have a bulging tummy and posture issues bending forward I am having a lot of reflux, finally my GP have referred me for endoscopy after 13 months. I am attending a free course by the NHS called prevention course for balance and posture I find it very helpful, here’s the information (Postural Stability and ‘Strong and Steady’ Classes: Group or virtual 12-to-16-week courses that mix physical strength and balance work with educational talks on preventing falls. Hopefully this will help you.
