Hi
I was diagnosed with Osteoporosis in 2021 after a smallish fall down a hill resulted in a bad ankle fracture.
I have since had another DEXA scan in 2023 (2.5% “not statistically significant” improvement in the score and again last month (another 3.5% improvement that’s not “statistically significant”)
I haven’t been able to talk about my latest result and have only found out the high level T-score improvement and been told I am still in the Osteoporosis range. I have an appointment to discuss results in a couple of weeks.
I try to be as active as possible and do regular load bearing/strength exercises. I have rock climbed all my adult life and am continuing despite the osteoporosis diagnosis (though with a minimal risk approach)
So far I only take vitamin D supplements as well as trying to make sure I have plenty of calcium in my diet.
