Excercise enough or too little?

Hi, I’m 15 months post spine fracture of my L1, I’m on evenity monthly until October I’m always on my feet doing bits of housework and stuff I do some Excercise through the week, but some advice I’ve read it’s like your not meant to sit down but keep moving all the time, I get being active is best but with my lung condition I get exhausted quite easy and it almost makes you feel bad for resting for a spell throughout the day,

Keep moving to keep moving…..BUT not all the time! I must sit down most afternoons and every evening! Don’t overthink it.Good to keep active but not all day!

Hi

You don’t explain much about your age/physical level of the lung issue and what your concerns are, but generally all I can say is listen to your body. If you want to do exercise, do some. If you need to rest, take your time and rest. All I can say is don’t stop and give up, as it is incredibly easier to fall out of good habits, and we - people with osteoporosis - need to do weight bearing exercise so that we minimalise deterioration of bone density. I broke my L1 and L4 18 months ago and have been on Evenity since September last year and have tried to remain as active as possible, but listening to my body as I still get pain… which is just telling me to stop and take it easy for a bit. I hope that this helps a little and good luck with the recovery.
