Osteoporosis and Parkinsons

I have recently been diagnosed with Parkinsons and had Osteoporosis diagnosed about 3 years ago. Does anyone else have both? I’m wondering if they are finding that they ache more than ever everywhere since taking Sinemet Plus 25/100 mg medication - which I take 3 times a day?

I have CMT a different neuro muscular dystrophy, but yes I do and osteo meds didn’t help, it made my neck pain so much worse :people_hugging:

I have both , diagnosed with osteo 6 years ago and PD 3 years ago. I am on the same PD med as you and found it brilliant in helping symptons of PD and I do not have more aches and pains. I am lucky in my area we have PD nurses who have been very helpful in answering questions about meds etc. If you don’t have in your area , Parkinsons UK have nurses you can phone

thanks for your help. I don’t have a NHS appointment until July so won’t be assigned a Parkinsons nurse until at least then, hence going privately. But I’m now also getting a lot of cramp in my legs and toes and when I wake up in the morning my legs feel like lead so I’ve emailed the neurologist I originally saw to see if he has any advise.
